Amagansett

A relaxed, beachfront vibe. A community with a rich and vibrant history. The glamour of East Hampton and Montauk without the hustle and bustle. You’ll find all of this, along with a lively downtown scene and a plethora of dining opportunities, in Amagansett, Long Island.

Transportation

Simply hop off on the Amagansett stop on the LIRR, or travel via bus: the Hampton Jitney, Hampton Ambassador, and the Hampton Luxury Liner all depart from NYC (each have different levels of luxury and, therefore, differing price points). Or if you’re feeling something a little more exclusive, there’s always the option of flying in via helicopter through BLADE.

Cultural Sites & Landmarks

The Village Green is the perfect spot to relax and read your morning paper or play a game of frisbee. Indian Wells Beach (known for its rolling sand dunes) and Atlantic Avenue Beach are the most popular beaches in the area, and you’ll often find locals and visitors alike biking along the Paumanok Path, which runs through the Hamptons. Be sure to check out Amagansett Square, a series of boutique storefronts in the heart of the area.

Dining & Nightlife

Located in Amagansett Square, Hampton Chutney features South Indian dosas stuffed with nontraditional fillings, in a friendly and lively atmosphere. Another staple is Clam Bar at Napeague, a “longtime hopping fish shack” serving fresh seafood and cold beer from April to November. The Stephen Talkhouse offers drinks and live music, and is a popular nightlife destination on weekends.
